Position: Caregiver (Personal Care Assistant – PCA)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Part-Time | PRN
Service Area: [Fargo, ND (Surrounding County’s)] [Moorhead, MN (Surrounding County’s)]
As a Caregiver (PCA), you will assist clients with activities of daily living while promoting independence, dignity, and safety in the home and community. This position requires attentiveness, reliability, and adherence to individualized care plans.
Responsibilities
Caregivers are expected to:
• Assist with activities of daily living in the home and in the community (ADLs)
• Support personal hygiene and grooming
• Assist with mobility and safe transfers
• Provide light housekeeping and meal preparation
• Offer medication reminders (as permitted by policy)
• Follow individualized care plans precisely
• Complete accurate and timely documentation
• Maintain professional and respectful communication
Required Qualifications
This position requires:
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to pass required state background checks
• Consistent attendance and punctuality
• Professional communication skills
• Willingness to follow care plans and company policies
• Respectful and compassionate conduct
Reliability is not optional in this role. Clients depend on consistency and professionalism.
Required & Ongoing Training
At Destiny Cares LLC, training is mandatory and continuous to ensure safety, compliance, and high-quality service.
Required at Hire:
• Orientation training
• Client rights and confidentiality
• Infection control procedures
• Emergency response protocols
• Documentation standards
• Abuse prevention and mandated reporting
• CPR/First Aid (if applicable)
Ongoing Training:
• Annual refresher training
• Client-specific care updates
• Policy and compliance updates
• Skills competency evaluations
All team members must remain current with required training and regulatory standards.
